Our Curriculum
Our home daycare center is rooted in the science of learning. Our unique curriculum, Balanced Childcare Curriculum, was designed by our founder and early childhood education expert, Dana Bowser.
Our program uses educational theories based on developmental psychology to encourage children's curiosity and foster a sense of responsibility and independence. Children learn the advantages of cooperation, work as team members, and develop their creative abilities. Through hands-on play, problem-solving activities, and group projects, we help children build critical social and emotional skills to succeed in school and beyond.
Food and Nutrition
Balanced Childcare believes that good nutrition is the foundation of a good education. We provide well-balanced and age-appropriate meals, incorporate ample physical activity during the day, and teach children about the importance of embracing a healthy, active lifestyle. We provide good nutrition to empower children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and physical growth. We promote knowledge about nutrition to our children and staff through educational programs and workshops on health and wellness.
Transportation
We have you covered if you need transportation services to and from school. We provide transportation services to Miles Jones Elementary School, Elizabeth Redd Elementary School, and Westover Hills Elementary School.

Safety
The safety of your children, families, and staff is our number one priority. We have implemented guidelines recommended by the CDC and state to help minimize the spread of Covid-19 and other potentially threatening diseases. INFANT PROGRAM
6 Weeks - 12 Months
We focus on 4 areas in our infant program: physical development, Social and emotional development, Thinking (cognitive) skill, and Language development.
Our infant program offers a cozy, safe and cheerful environments for babies up to twelve months old. Infant caregivers provide quality care that includes holding and touching for soothing, as well as playful activities fostering intellectual growth and development. Our home daycare is committed to the whole-child approach to early childhood education.

PROGRAMS
TODDLER PROGRAM
1 Year - 2 Years Old
Our early education toddler program is designed to inspire each child's growing need for independence and stimulate the development of their self-esteem in a safe, supportive manner.
Our curriculum for toddlers is centered on topics that encourage the development of social and emotional skills and bring joy to the learning process.
Our day-to-day schedules balance individual free time with structured group activities. We promote skills that will help your toddler blossom into a confident preschooler!
PRE-K PROGRAM
3 Years - 5 Years Old
Our pre-kindergarten program supports the continued development of essential school-readiness skills and prepares children to enter kindergarten with the language, early literacy, mathematics, social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills necessary for success.
Each child will experience freedom in making choices while also being introduced to a classroom structure and routines. Visual cues are used along with individual instruction to help each child develop practical life skills. By the time they leave our class children will be ready for Kindergarten.
SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM
5 Years - 12 Years Old
Our before-and-after-school program offers a nurturing club atmosphere where children are offered enriched learning opportunities in a fun and engaging environment. We assist with homework, and tutoring is available at an additional cost to work on skills to ensure students stay academically on track.
Our program also takes into account each child's desire to form lasting friendships, explore topic-related interests, gain confidence in their independence skills, and experience a balance of learning and fun. Your child(ren) will thrive at Balanced Childcare!
